The metabolism is like a car engine. If it gets quality fuel, there’s no smoke, if you have bad fuel, will result in residues. For our metabolism, residues are fat deposits that most of us manage to escape.
There are dozens of solutions that can lead to activation of metabolism, but of these, four types of food are the most effective. Here we list the ideal combination, to maximize their benefits.
Protein. An adequate daily intake of protein keeps your metabolism active. Proteins support muscle mass and the body is more effective burning proteins. In addition, the body will consume more energy, which is a good thing.
The amount of protein required for a normal person varies according to age, sex and weight – on average it is the result of multiplying the weight (in Kilograms) you have by 0.4 – if you have a sedentary life then multiply by 0.5. The result is the recommended daily protein intake. As an example, in the case of an 80 kg adult, 32 grams of proteins are necessary.
If you want to boost your metabolism, consume half the amount of protein required for breakfast. Solution: fat Greek yogurt, chopped nuts, berries and eggs.
A daily dose of capsaicin. Capsaicin is the substance found in chili peppers that have the proven ability to increase the metabolic rate and body temperature, which intensifies burning by 30% for two to three hours after eating it. It is best to eat it quickly in the morning and at lunch.
Green tea and coffee, but especially green tea, contain beneficial substances that boost metabolism. Green tea is also an excellent source of antioxidants that protect against disease and gives our skin a natural glow. It is ideal to drink a cup of green tea twice a day, between meals.
Calcium. A number of studies have shown that people who have a calcium deficiency have a slow metabolism. The body needs about 1,000 milligrams of calcium per day, and this can be found in milk, oranges, green leafy vegetables and white vegetables. It is ideal to dose calcium in such a way that it will be distributed evenly throughout the day and that each meal to contain a good source of calcium.
