How Can I Change My Mindset?
It is estimated that over 70% of our thoughts are negative. That’s a lot of negativity! If you want to change your mindset, and your life, it is important to become aware of your thoughts and start changing them to more positive ones.
The first step is acknowledging that you have the power to change your mindset. You are not a victim of your thoughts; they are not beyond your control. Once you realize that you can choose what thoughts to focus on, you can begin to change them.
Start by monitoring your self-talk – the things you say to yourself in your head. Are they positive or negative? If they are mostly negative, start working on changing them to positive affirmations. For example, instead of saying “I’m so fat,” try saying “I love my body just the way it is.” It may feel uncomfortable at first, but keep at it and eventually it will become second nature.
